The Netflix effect at the table
You know that feeling when you turn on Netflix, there are thousands of movies to choose from and... you spend 20 minutes scrolling and end up watching "Friends" for the hundredth time?
Your guests feel the same when they open your menu card. "Burger or pizza? Or maybe a salad? Oh, the pasta looks good. But this steak..."
This phenomenon is called Decision Paralysis. In restaurants, it hurts your revenue for two reasons:
- Table lock: Guests "think" for 15 minutes instead of eating.
- Safe choice: A tired brain chooses the simplest (and often cheapest) option. "Okay, I'll have a Margherita and water."
Save them (and your profit) with Bundles
The human brain loves pre-made items. We don't want to choose. We want someone to choose for us. That's why we introduced the Combo / Sets module in OrderNow.
Instead of making the guest build an order from scratch, you give them a ready-made bundle: "Fan's Set: Lumberjack's Burger + XXL Fries + Craft Beer".
Why does it work? (Psychology of Prices)
It's a simple game on emotions:
- Separately: Burger (PLN 35) + Fries (PLN 12) + Beer (PLN 18) = PLN 65.
- In the set: "Only PLN 59".
The customer sees this and thinks: "Wow, I'm saving PLN 6! I have to take it, otherwise I'll lose the opportunity". What does your wallet think? "I just sold beer and fries to a customer who only wanted a burger and tap water. I earned PLN 59 instead of PLN 35".
It's a classic Win-Win. The customer feels smart ("I beat the system") and you get a higher average bill.
How does OrderNow make it easier?
Creating sets with a paper menu is a nightmare (lack of space, need to print). With OrderNow it's a matter of 3 clicks:
- You choose the component products.
- You set the promotional price.
- Add the "Bestseller" label.
You can create timed sets (e.g. "Lunch Box" only until 3 p.m.) or occasional sets ("Valentine's Day for Two").
Stop making them think
Your guests come to you to relax, not to solve puzzles. Make their lives easier. Create a Set. You'll see how grateful they will be (and how grateful your cash report will be).
